on spokes, what to do?

on frame, what to do?

again, not heavy pitting or rot.. just minor surface rust.


also, how to get the paint code for the black frame on 1975 cr250

I'd replace spokes with new ones. These guys might have them: http://www.buchananspokes.com

Media blast the frame. Soda leaves nice clean surface for paint or powder coating.

You know the saying:

When the only tool you have is a hammer, all your problems tend to look like nails.

I have a cheap sand blasting set up. Well cheap if you don't include the compressor in the price. It's paid for itself 10 times over in reduced cost of chemicals, sandpaper, wire brushes, ... TIME!

If you do a lot of work on old equipment it will save you hundreds of dollars a year. I'm thinking of getting a cheap Harbor Frieght spot gun for the stuff I can't fit in my cabinate. As it is, I lay the big work pieces across the opened cabinate to get them done.
