Will cr 250 1980 fit on a cr 250 1979.

They should fit OK. The main difference between the two years' frames was up front. One had the single down tube and the other had the two tube craddle design to accommodate the center port exhaust. To my knowledge, nothing changed at the rear so the shocks should interchange. The '80 model had the remote reservoir on the shock similar to Ohlins piggybacks. I've used Ohlins piggybacks on a '79 before with no problem.

1980 CR250R shocks are decent shocks that are rebuildable where 79 shocks were junk when brand new. The 80 shocks are the same length and mounting so they will work no problem. If you need seals to rebuild the 80 shocks my email is mailto:elsinorestuff@qwest.net.
