Hello. I have an 74 CR250 Crankcase that I am rebuilding. However, I have a part that I have no idea what it goes to. Any help would be appreciated! The closest thing I see to it in my parts manual is in the gear shift drum, with it being 4 small cylinders. But I never had that pulled apart.

They look like locating dowels

M@tt,

Do you know what they would have came out of? Everything was blown apart in a box. I’m looking along the edge of the case, but not seeing small enough holes for them to insert. Thanks!

They should be visible on 2 of the screw holes that join the 2 crank cases together - you can try them in the gasket holes either end of the engine

Unfortunately that’s not it. I have all those. This is much smaller and not hollow.

Apologies now I see them in your hand they’re clearly not the dowels I was thinking of
I think you’re right with your initial assessment and they’re 2 of 4 rollers in the shift drum if they measure 10x4 mm according to item 23
