since i'm sure there are some of you that have seen a brand new or newly rebuilt jug for your 79 cr 250, and i know they are chrome bored or nikasil or something like that IE. not a normal steal boreable jug so my question is, Do the new jugs look just like a normal one in the way of it being cross hatched and such. I was told mine has a fresh top end and it was done in a shop and was just unsure of what it would be looking like with the special cyl.

It should be obvious whether it is a cylinder with the original chrome, or whether a sleeve has been inserted. In the latter case you will see the join at the edge of the ports. If you are in any doubt take the cylinder to a shop and have it measured and matched to a piston and the cylinder honed as necessary.
