I have a 76 CR250ME the kick starter wasn't springing back very well and would stick. I opened up the side and can't tell what the problem is and really don't know what to look for. Does someone have an exploded view of this I can see or email me or suggestions.
Thank you,
Bent

Simple fix. Pull the side cover off again and replace the two alignment dowels. This is a very common problem with the early CR250's.
Honda part number is 9301-10160.
These are bent due to backfiring while kickstarting and the slight misalignment is causing the shaft to bind some.
