I have had to make my MT250 my commuter for a daily 80mile round trip, so the junk tires needed to go. I was looking at Pirellis, IRCs and a few others, but then I saw these Shinkos. I'm not a fan of non-Japanese Asian tires, but the tread pattern looked good and the few reviews seemed positive.
Well, I have been running them for almost two weeks now, and they really are a decent tire. Quiet enough that they can't be heard over the bike's engine, and good wet weather traction. Very squirrely in loose dirt, though, which combined with the non-linear power delivery of these bikes made for some interesting fire road time, although the front seemed to track ok. At a bit over 500miles, the front tire still has nubs and the rear still has a little of the mold parting line down the center, so they should wear quite a long time.
For the price, these may be the best street-oriented dual sport tires out there- Way better than the K270 I had on it before.
