Hi, does anyone know of an easy way to install the rubber bands into the side number plate hole on a 1974 cr 125. I have restored side plates and don't want to chip the paint or worse around the holes. Thanks in advance

I've heated up the rubber with hot water a bit and put some Armor All on it, then folded the end slightly and pushed it through with no problems. If there are sharp hole edges you might want to bevel it slightly on each side first, by hand with a countersink bit.

Thanks Ray. I did boil the band in water, just afraid to crack the paint. Gotta try armor all! Thanks
