Looking for a 1974 MT250 throttle cable p/n 17910-358-010, I know they are obsolete per Honda so what do you guys do for a replacement?

Thanks!

If all other sources come up empty I purchase a couple bicycle cables and make my own. I always look for the closest match to the throttle tube end as possible as the other end is the one I cut and shorten.
If the outer tubing is reusable I will just replace the metal cable.

BTW - If anyone needs a new throttle tube I use one from a late model CR250 (say 2000) and grind the cable area down to fit into the stock MT throttle assembly. This includes a new hole for the cable end. I made mine "just fit" to get a quicker throttle response for my busted up wrist.

I tried a couple aftermarket throttle assemblies from ebay but was not satisfied at all. The CR tubes ROCK and include a new grip too AND is pretty cheap.
