I didn't want to post any pics until I had the new seat cover on.
So now, here she is in all of her rugged glory.

My two really happened and still have them, I see several posts with people struggling with carbs. These have stock carbs with stock jetting and they run great. Oil pumps removed and running Bel-Ray MC-1 @ 50:1

A '74 and a '75?
It's been surprising me for the last year how many of these are still around.
-Honda was completely committed to the XL/XR line by the mid seventies
-The performance of the MTs was never overly impressive
-Production only lasted a couple of years
I hadn't thought that they had sold in any significant numbers.
People seem to have hung on to them anyway.
Mine was a $100 yard sale find.
I enjoy mine for what it is; a vintage half way capable semi dirt bike.
It has close family ties to the CR125 that I had in my early teens.
Also, It's looks hold my eye for hours. 8) 8)

Hello, not sure which groove there at as it has been several years and I cannot find my notes. One thing I do remember is when running rich that they would start missing out at higher RPM's. I was also surprised at how much of a difference one groove would make when reading the plug color. I messed around with a lot of different jet sizes only to come back to the stock ones. ( Honda engineers know what they are doing ). Also from what I have read the Keyster jets are often out of spec. Also the jets in the Keyster kit are sized for the early 74 model only, so if you use one in your 75 or 76 model there is a good chance you will be running rich and having issues. Thought I was doing all the good rebuilding my carb on my 75 with one and it turned out to be a long road of misery, flowing gasoline thru your main and slow jets does not wear them out.

While we are at it...
My '75 model I bought for $900 and put about another $500 into it (not shown are the recent add of a set of Progre$$ive $hock$).
Original paint everywhere and no rust thanks to Arizona though this pic was taken in Missouri in 2015.
I had the same bike in 1977 and sold it due to it being slow. 40 years later and it still is slow but so am I now so NO PROBLEM. LOL

I learned to drive on a JD 80.
She'd pull a 20 foot cultivator all day long on a tank of diesel
The lack of a PTO was a genuine bitch though.
12 hours in that seat and you were sore.
