Yes, any year of CR125M ignition will physically fit any other year of CR125M - but the stator and rotor date codes should match each other or the timing marks will be off. As you probably already know, the stator, rotor, and CDI boxes are all stamped with codes for year of manufacture (7A = 1977, January). The CR125M CDI boxes and coils are identical for all years.
I have at least one each of all the stator/rotor sets, and the only differences I've seen (or measured) are the timing marks - which is understandable, as the '74, '75, and '76-'78 CR125M's each use a different timing spec and have a different p/n. There could be other changes too.
I'm currently running 7H and 7I complete sets on my MR175 engines.
