There are a couple locations to identify build dates on the '73-'74 Elsinore CR250M. Under the seat (it's stamped in white on the edge of the material) and under the left side of the swing arm there are numbers. My seat is stamped 30705 and my swing arm is 730501. So my question is how do you read the day and month? Would the seat be 1973 August 5th and the swing arm 1973 May 1st or would the day and month be reversed as in the seat being May 7th and the swing arm being January 5th? Thanks for the help. |

The 6 digit swing arm has me thrown. I think your seat is July 5 1973. I have a 50 mini trail I got new.The tag on the steering head says it was built in September of 69,my parents bought it at the end of November. The gas tanks are stamped in the metal on the bottom side of the rear mount. It is marked 90828 which obviously would be August 28 of 69 which fits to the month the bike was built |
