I am looking on http://www.cmsnl.com for gaskets for my YZ400 as above and....blow me...it would appear there is no gasket between the crank cases???

Surely this cannot be right??

I have a parts CD foir this particular bike on the way to me but if in the meantime anyone can answer the above with a gasket part no I would be most appreciative.

I can't speak for your YZ400 but I believe Yamaha makes a special filler for joining case halves. It should be available from a dealer.

This was brought up in an other forum that Yamaha has changed the formula on the Yamabond 5. The new stuff is a bit runnier than the old stuff was. It works just as good as the old stuff thoug. I know honda makes a case sealing compound as well that many people use. Image
