Hi guys, I know I'm probably being rather broad, but the root of my question is the fact that I have a '76 DT250 that I recently purchased. I believe it has some issues to sort out, which I'm making my first concern, but I can't help but wonder what the other Yamaha 250's of comparable vintage are like to ride, in good tune? I am a memeber on the 'yamahaenduro.com' forum, but those guys, of course, are mostly focused on maintaining mostly stock examples. This question wouldn't get me too much of a response over there!
I've cleaned the silencer out, and the bike still likes to run without the baffle installed. At this point, it's somewhat more impressive than it was. However, it's never going to have the performance, even in perfect stock condition, of the porting, 38mm carb and pipe that some of these siblings have! I'm just curious how they compare.
Thanks!
