1972 DT2MX 250

Hello!

I'm thinking of selling my late husband's dirt bike on eBay. It has been in the garage for many, many, moons and does not run at this point. I know it will need a new gas tank, because there is visible sludge inside. The bike is all original as far as I remember. From the research I've done online I know it's the first reed valve dirt bike Yamaha produced, and fairly scarce. Can any of you afficionados give me an idea what it might be worth in this condition? I've taken some photos of it. Any ideas/info will be appreciated.

Just because there is slude in the tank does not mean its not any good . These bikes are rare so a tank that might need some repairs is still worth fixing . Your chances of getting a new tank are very low indeed . Im new to this site so please wait till you get some more answers to your post . A poor example DT2MX sold here in Tasmania for over $2000 .
