the side cover and front fender was in very bad shape,i got a NOS rear fender though,here is some pics of those plastic parts.
side panel and new rear fender.

this is the front and rear fender,like the side panel it was badly faded and had a nice layer of crust on it.

i found a video on Youtube and thought i would try it.
first scraping as much crust off as you can.

later i will show how to get the color back on a color impregnated plastic part.

to restore the color you use a heat gun,you heat it until it looks like wet paint then move to another area.
