A few days ago I got this bike for free from a family member who found it at the local dump... someone threw it away! It hasn't been running in a year or 2.

A friend of mine showed me how to pin the jets, clean the carb out and fix the float in the bowl. Thats all it took! The bike runs great, and I got to ride around on it for about 2 hours taking turns with the buddy who helped me fix the carb.

Long story short my friend was being rough on the clutch spinning the rear wheel and popping wheelies. The rear sprocket mount broke!

The new sprocket mount is on order, should be here on the 13th. I also have a cone filter coming in for the carb. Nice how cheap parts are for bikes compared to cars.

Its missing a few parts, a bit dirty, and overall needing some love. This is my first project bike. Ive owned various dirt bikes in the past but that was before I got into working on cars, so this is a new experience for me. The plan is to just clean it up, make it look nice and maybe even get it road legal!

Today my new sprocket mount came in the mail, so I got that replaced and the bike rides again! Did a few victory laps around the yard then put it away before the neighbors would call the cops on me or whatever... I live in the city lol.

Today I also ordered a kickstand for it, and my cone filter for the carb should be in some time next week. Since the pictures shown above I have also spent some time trying to clean all the crap off it.
Will take some fresh pictures soon. I'd like to re paint the gas tank white so the whole bike matches.
