I am setting up an AG175 as a CT2 look alike as most of the parts are the same. Setting up the flashers has been a struggle. It has a 3 pin relay and I have tried several relays but none work. When I plug the relay in a turn on ignition (no indicator on) the relay gets super hot and blows the fuse. If I plug in relay without the earth wire nothing happens. Turn on the left indicator and both lights work but don't flash-right is the same. No heat and no fuse blow.. But connect the earth and it blows.... How can earth be shorted? I have removed and cleaned handlebar switch and one by one disconnected every single connection but no change. As soon as I connect the earth there is a dead short. I am at wits end so any suggestions welcome. |

Figured it out - I tested the current and 1.25 amps at 6 volts was no where near enough. So I grabbed the rear indicators that were originally on my Honda TLR with a couple of decent sized bulbs the flasher behaved perfectly. Fiddly little beggars. |
