Hi All,
Wondering if someone can help me with a question I have.
I have a 1989 RM250 and I am wondering if I can transplant an engine from an RM from another year into the '89 frame. Hoping that the engine mounts, gear placement controls etc are in the same position as the 89 model.

Even if someone has done this sort of procedure they can let me know what year/model the new engine was from and if any problems arose doing the transplant.

Any help/comments would be much appreciated

Thanks

You could probably install a '90, '91, or '92 engine in your '89 frame. The bike were very similar from '89 to '92. I have not tried this, but it should work. Engine and frame design were almost identical. 8)
