Hello to all Suzuki RM fans in the U.S
I bought a 1985 Suzuki RM500 and want to restore it.I found out that the bike has not much compression.I maesured the piston to cylinder clearance and this is 0,08 mm which is still good. The piston ring end gap is 1,7 mm which is not good.In my opinion this should be between 0,3 and 0,5 mm.This is probably the reason that the bike has not enough compression. The problem now is that here in Europe I can't find a piston ring from an oversize piston 0,25 mm.Maybe in te U.S it is still possible to buy this piston ring?I looked all over the internet without results.I hope that somebody can help me.
Greetings from Belgium,
Yours Sincerely,
Freddy
