Same issue on my '85 CR125R. If you have a fresh motor, then it would be the reeds or possibly an air leak (How's it run?). If there are some hours on it, check the compression. If it is real easy to kick, odds are it is time for a rebuild.
My engine is fresh (seals, bearings, gaskets, piston/ring & good comp.) But the reeds have dried out and show an air gap. This is causing the bike to only start on a bump start situation (fresh plug). Then on occasion it will kick, but only 1 time, and if you miss it, you have to bump again. When running, will pull the front end in the first 2 gears no problem.
