Would a set of forks and triple clamps from a 1980 TS250 bolt up to a 1974 TS250..Thanks 8)Duce

Finally had time to start the upgrade on my old TS. The triple clamps were a direct bolt in. The first problem was that the fork legs hit the gas tank before the stops. The tank being an old beater, lots of lead and mud, proceeded to hammer and dolly to grooves for clearance. I used the 74 TS wheel and hub, but a TS 80's backing plate. The 74 TS uses a 15mm axle, while the 80 TS uses a 12mm. The old wheel and hub will accept 80's outer bearing while the center bear is a non standard 35mmX12mmX10.5mm, got it off eBay. You'll need to use an 80's right side spacer and dust shield. Almost a direct bolt in. 8) Duce
