Post subject:  What Can-Am have I found?

Hi guys,
I have found out about a Can-Am in bits and have only seen the frame, forks and motor in a workshop (the other bits are at the owners house).
I know that it's a 400 by the decals on the fork legs and the motor itself is
orange. It has the steel tube swing arm and what looks like remote
reservior Ohlins shocks(no decals but bronze colour bodies and reservior)
I am not sure if it's a MX or Enduro model, but the front axle had a quick
change lever set-up, so maybe enduro.
Is this bike a 1980 model? and if it is an enduro model, what are the main
differences between it and a MX model, as I would like to convert it to a
MX for Evo class MX racing.
I can get the bike for free, so would like to make things happen.
Any advice would be appreciated :D
