I just picked up a 1975 MX1 250 that is as close to near new condition as I have ever seen for a 42 year old bike.

My son and I plan to race the AVDRA Vintage series in AZ next year. One thing for sure, it has enough power.

SUCCESS.
After 10 years off and having to sign up again as 250 expert I was pleasantly surprised this bike easily pulled the holeshot. I lead the first moto from start to finish.

The second Moto was a different story as I was caught sleeping at the gate. I was the last rider off the line and third coming out of turn one, second coming out of turn two and then I did a bonehead move going for the lead and fell down and severely twisted my ankle and tore muscles in my other leg's hamstring. I got up and finished as I did not want to be carried off the track and still got second overall BUT I've been licking my wounds for over a week now. LOL

The picture of the person on the bike is my youngest son. I let him race and he did very well too and loved the bike.

These Can-Am Motors ROCK.

Rick

His brothers were top tier FMX riders in the early days.
I guess a rotten apple don't fall far from the tree. LOL

That's pretty cool Rick! Well, not the injury...
I have some kind of CanAm project out back... can't remember what exactly. Too many projects out there!

I last raced with AVDRA when they were at Speedworld. I sort of got dejected after that closed down, and haven't raced or even had the old Elsinore out since.
Not sure I like the looks of the new track, but you never know... I might make it back down this season.
