Last summer, after finally getting the timing right, the bike started right up, however, it did not want to idle down after throttle was applied. After sitting the entire winter/spring, I just took the carb. apart, and discovered a completely blocked pilot jet. I cleaned all the jets, and installed a new throttle cable. Put some fresh gas in, and, it started on the second kick, and went to wide open (not a stuck throttle as the slide is working fine). I quickly screwed the air screw all the way in (was out 3/4 turn per my manual) which had no effect. After getting it shut down, and letting my heartrate drop, I verified that the throttle cable was working properly, and started it again......same result. I had great hopes of riding around the grounds at this years Vintage Motorcyle Days at Mid-Ohio which in five days............I'm at a loss for an explanation, and would greatly appreciate any insights.
Thanks!
