Anyone race a 74 Ossa Phantom? What areas should I address before racing my stock Phantom?

Jay, The only thing you really need to do is use decent shocks and DO NOT race with the stock rod. Check with Lynnis for a crank upgrade. Otherwise when the stock ones get worn they will blow through your cases. If your bike misses shifts it is very helpful to have a knowledgable Ossa mechanic set up the tranny, it is slightly more difficult to set up than Japanese bikes. Otherwise they are very light, so watch for frame and fiberglass cracks. Have fun. Rick Nicholson

Hi,
the standard exhaust get destroyed when you drop the bike, the bigger chamber type. Any clues?

Well all i can say have a lot of fun , what a peach of a bike.
It is the real goods , nice light handling and goes like a shell.
the first time i raced one i was blown out, would make a killer engine for Road Racing because it goes well stock!
Any Road raced in the US.?
I get a grin just looking at mine.

Cheers Cas
