Are there many differences between the 1979 and 1980 CR125 Lower ends? I know the bearings are better in the 1980, but what about the tranny, rotor/stator, clutch, etc. ?

Also, how can you visually identify the different cases? Does anyone have the Codes or Numbers for the 79 and 80 CR125 engines? Thanks!

The easiest way would be just to look at the SN# on them, 200XXXX for the '79 and 210XXXX for the '80.
