I just picked up my MT250 Saturday evening and have a question about the vin.
It says 11/74 on the tag but starts with a 2 on the number and I read that the ones starting w/a 2 are a 75'? Any ideas?

It's got the black side cover and black heat shield on exaust. Also,are the two years compatible w/ parts? Thanks!

It is a 1975. It was just built in late 1974. Here are the details for your bike:

Model Year: 1975 Product Code: 358

Frame VIN: MT250-2000001~
Engine VIN: MT250E-2000001~

Color: Custom Silver Metallic / Tahitian Red / Black

Ft: Fuel tank is silver painted steel with red top panel and black stripes
Ft: Side cover and headlight shell are black
Ft: Side cover decal is yellow/white
Ft: Fenders are silver painted ABS plastic
Ft: Exhaust heat shield is black K1-'76
