i was wondering what paint you use on the wheels for a 1979 cr250r

You could have them painted, powder-coated, anodized or just polished up. Wheel Works here in Southern California will get rim powder-coated or anodized for an extra fee. I say go with the polishing unless you are after a specific effect...
