I have a 1975 Honda Elsinore MR 175, I'm looking for a good way to check the magneto and to get the Ohms that each coil on the magneto should read. I'm restoring this Bike and would like to check all the electrical before Putting it back to together.

I looked through my Clymer manual and it only suggests checking for continuity. My guess is, the coils should read something like 5 or 7 ohms. I wish I could offer more help.

We have an engine here, I read 4.5 ohms between the 2 wires exiting stator. I am not sure if stator is good, this bike is in staging for restoration.

4.5 ohms sounds about right to me.
