Hi everyone
I'm new to this site and just wanted to say hello. I have loved motorcycles ever sense I can remember (60s). Now that I'm vintage like these bikes I would like to go back and try to recapture a small part of my younger days riding these machines. I cant get out on the track but I am capable of doing some high end restorations (and playing with them a little.)
I came across three different CR250s, a 74-76 78 all three of them are in good condition. The plastic is original. not beat, broke or weathered very bad at all. The tanks have a couple of minor dings/scratches. The paint shows it's age but for the most part, decant. On the 76 and 78 exhaust are in real nice condition. They need blasted and painted only. The 74 took a fair pounding but definitely serviceable. Everything seems oem and low running hours. None of the bikes have been started in many years. They do have good compression (by feel) I'm sure the carbs are gummed up. The seat on the 74 has dried out and cracked vinyl, foam is OK. The 76-78 seats are in nice condition. All the rims and spokes are in real nice condition. The tires have most of there knobs left but dried out and cracked. No broken cooling fins. I'm trying to get a idea as to what they maybe worth. so I can make a fair offer for them. Does 800 to 1000.00 each sound like it's in the ball park? Any input from the board members would be appreciated.

Jerry

Hard to say, without detailed pictures. The '74 is the most valuable. The '78 is also valuable. The '76 isn't worth a whole lot, but would be a beautiful bike, when restored. Condition is everything.
