With the standard ignition on an MR175, what should the timing be set at? Also, when using a strobe, should the mark align with the F or the line next to the F?

The OEM ignition timing is 20.5° / 1.94mm BTDC. If the timing is set correctly, the F mark (the line, not the F itself) should line up with the pointer on the inside of the ignition cover.

If you use the timing procedure in the shop manual, bear in mind that the light will always be lit, and will get slightly dimmer (the manual calls this "dark light") when the points open.
