Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

just bought a 79 cr250 from the original owner,who had replaced the clutch with barnett parts,making for a really stiff action.does anyone know if the stock honda parts are still available and maybe part numbers.also,are needles and seats still available for the stock keihin carb.thanks in advance,

If the springs are root cause and not some other part of the mechanism (cable, actuating mechanism etc.) the stock parts are # 22401-430-000. They may be available from your dealer or http://www.westernhillshonda.com. I got a Keihin rebuild kit from Honda although you can get same of similar from importers http://www.sudco.com. The part # and shape of the needles do not match exactly so the Sudco route requires some thought and experimentation. Email me if you want to get a manual and parts catalog plus other useful stuff. The Fox Shox you need are 17.5" in length.
