I recently took out the old elsie and got to chatting with some old timers who knew of the 80's bite. One mentioned that there used to be heavier flywheels available to take some of the bite out, and make the bike a little better for trail riding. Has anyone else heard of such a part, or pehaps having a machinist drill holes and fill them with iron slugs to add weight, balanced on a static balancer of course. I don't mind the pipeyness of the bike that much, but it would make it easier to ride with buddies through the trails.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

great link, but the '80 has an internal rotor, so it would be very hard to add weights. does anyone know if it would be possible to swap an entire igniton system from a bike that could be weighted?
