I need some help from the BB

I am looking to purchase new shocks for my 79 CR250.

Can I ask for some opinions from the experts as to what I should be using ?

Are Works Shocks compariable to my current fox shox I have on my other 250. I tried to price ohlins from a local dealer and they are now estimating over $1K Cdn???

Any help would be appreciated,

Paul

I like my Works Performance Shocks though I don't have much to compare them to. The stock (non-Fox) shocks on my bike were shot when I got it. Plus, at least in my experience, I found them to have excellent customer service. They were very helpful over the phone.

I have both Works Performance and Fox Shox. Bottom line, both are great when set-up, but the Fox are cheaper and quicker to adjust. Theoretically the design of the Works Performance is superior to the Fox Shox, but I do not notice the difference. I prefer the "period" look of the Fox Shox.

thanks folks,

I purchased a set of Ohlins on eBay last night and hope to have over the next week or so.

Ohlins can get a bit pricey when you factor in a potential re-build, but they were the best back in the day....

Seen those of ebay.....Looks like you got a pretty good deal, since they are already rebuilt. Good find!!

I was lucky to catch them just as they came on line and it sounds like the previous owner spent lots to put back into true form.

I hope they will work for application
