Does anyone know the specs for the 1979 CR125R flywheel puller? Doing a web search turns up a couple of different designs and some are definitly not the correct puller. I have a puller for my 1978 xr75 that also fits the z50's. This one comes very close to fitting but is too large to fit inside the cr125r wheel. Some web sites list this xr75 puller as one that works with the cr125r - NOT. Anyway, would like to find the correct one.. any help will be appreciated!!!!

thanks,

I ran into this same problem with my 1980 CR125. I had my local bike shop order a few different pullers but none of them would work. I found another bike shop that has been in business for 50+ years and they just happen to have a puller that would work. They gave me the used puller after building a few motors but it doesn't have any #'s on it to order off of. Try a few different shops that do bike repair. Chances are one of the mechanics will have the right puller and can remove the flywheel for 5-10 bucks.

Thanks for the input. I did manage to get the flywheel off by using a standard 2 leg flywheel puller. I had to take off the stator and stator plate to be able to get the claws behind the wheel. A little wd40 and a couple taps with the hammer and it popped right off. It's a little more work but considering how hard it is to find the correct puller - I'm happy.

thanks,
