hey all,

quick question, how do you dismantle a 1982 cr125 silencer to repack it ?

You don't. The silencer is not serviceable.

You have a couple of options. You can cut the OE
silencer open at the front or rear weld and fabricate
a replacement cap that can be removed (like a late
model CR), or you can buy an aftermarket rebuildable
silencer. I know DG makes one for your application or
you can contact Holly at: mailto:holly@hollyequip.co.jp
He makes a very nice rebuildable aluminum silencer for
the '78-'79, I bet he could do the same for the '82.
