I have been looking for an mt250 rust free seat pan forever. I found one on ebay got it today. I pulled the cover off to find rust and one crack. So I am going to have it media blasted. I wanted to know if it can be welded or if its too thin and whats the best paint to use after its been blasted.

It is not too thin to repair. I've had good luck repairing cracked steel seat pans by forming a spare piece of sheet metal to reinforce the crack, then brazing it back into shape. If you add the new metal to the foam side of the pan, you can then finish the side that shows with very little evidence of it being repaired.
