Can anyone advise if the '75 CR125 & 250 tanks are identical?
I have been looking for a tank in good condition for my 250 but only ever come accross decent 125 tanks.

75 CR250 tanks have a "cutout" along the right bottom edge for clearance for the up pipe. Also, it was polished aluminum. (red top)

I'm pretty sure the 75 CR125 didn't have the cutout, and was painted silver (red top)

They are different, but you can use a 125 tank on a 250. In addition to the cutout, the 125 is steel and painted; 250 aluminum. A 125 tank will bolt on a 250, but you'll have a gap between the seat and tank. Not a big deal and a whole lot of people have done it and never cared.
