any information about pre production cr250m's 1973 ?. i have a cr250m and the frame number is lower than the honda identification guide book and there as never been any numbers stamped on the engine case any help would be appreciated

Sounds like you have the updated cases. I have a 73 with the famous numberless cases too. The frame having numbers on a CRM lower than 1000216 sounds a lil fishy and interesting at the same time. Got any pics?

Almost every time I've seen a case without numbers, it was a replacement case ordered through a Honda parts dealer.
Don't know anything about the frame, unless you have a pre-production bike. I didn't think any of those had any numbers at all, though.
