I've been a customer and had a great experience, but have now heard rumors and still await responses to emails.

I have called over the last ten months and get an occasional person to speak with over the phone. I ask about shipping my '80 CR250R side panels that have been on order since April, 2005 and the claim is that they don't have any in stock and it will only be a short time before production is resumed. I think that I have been patient enough and have submitted my backorder invoice for refund. It's unfortunate that the transfer of Red Racer ownership had been an unknown for so long. Scott would have never let us hang like this.

I'm With all of you. Restoring an elsinore and have called and emailed with no response. It really is a shame because my past experience with them was fantastic. 8)

I have been waiting since Sept o5 for my front fender and fork boots.

If they would at least answer emails or the phone it would at least be something.

I have NEVER had any problems with buying from the States but find Red Racers whole approach unacceptable.

I am now resigned to the fact that I have lost my money.

The very least they could do is remove their web-site and not induce anyone else into sending money

If you paid by credit card you should request a "chargeback" from the card issuer stating that you have never received the goods. There is a formal dispute process that ends in arbitration. If Red Racer weren't to offer any opposing opinion or evidence, you'll get your money. You can also make a claim against PayPal. I have done this and got 60% of my money back.

I have had fenders for my '79 CR250 on backorder since August of '05. In November I got a response to an email that said they were just starting production on the fenders and they would ship the next week. Since then I have received no answer to my emails, and no one answers the phone when I call. I have finally filed a claim with my VISA company to get the charges removed from my account. I agree, they should take their site down so that other people won't be sending them money for products they will never recieve. I haven't used Red Racer before, but I know I will never try them again. I finally bought fenders from Vintage Iron.

I can tell you that you would be foolish to send any money, or expect any goods to come from previous orders any time soon.
I used to do business with them and up until early last spring things were OK.They re-sold my parts, I re-sold theirs. When Scott managed it in early summer things got better for a short time. He was duped. We all were duped into thinking "any day now"
The truly sad thing is that the web site makes it look like it is business as usual and those who do not read the boards will never know the trouble that RR is in and blindly send their money in expecting reasonable delivery times. That is not going to be the case.

Most small companies have their web presence hosted by another party. The web site and discussion board will probably run un-administered until the next check is due....which could be some time.

Googling the phone number 1-918-453-0572, I get a Ramon Socarro in Tahlequah, OK as the owner.

Tahlequah is the capitol of the Cherokee Nation.

The number may be listed as the old account holder or it could accurately reflect the billing name on the account. Remember they moved this company three times in the last few years from OKC to Scott taking it back to Cape Girardeau, MO. and then back to OK in December/Jnauary '06.

Jay answered the phones last spring and then stopped. Scott took it over and stopped answering again when the inquiries about where the backorders are got to be too much and the owners weren't telling him the truth. Last time I called and the phone was answered was in early January.

I may not be the only one trying to fill the demand for parts. I also hope I am not the only one gently steering people away from placing more orders with RR. Scott can fill the decal orders from http://www.vintagefactory.com in most cases. I have seat foam and covers for the CR125/CR250 and many other dirt bikes and I am working on more parts.

Good luck, I've given up after 8 months of waiting.
Paypal won't help because the transaction is over 45 days old so I've contacted my credit card issuer for help..
