Post subject:  MT250 Teeth

Hello everyone,
Last year I picked up a nice '74 MT250. Right now the restoration is around 75% complete. I am glorifying the term "restoration." ;)

Anyway I am having trouble locating front and rear sprockets. I have tried all the local avenues as well as some Internet sources with no luck. Are there sprockets from other models that will fit on this bike? The bike currently has 51 teeth in the rear, which is nice for trail riding. I would like to keep this set up or even add a couple more dentures if possible. Your thoughts?

Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks,
Newfie

The front and rear sprockets for a 73-74 CR250 are the same. I have some original rear sprockets for your MT. Email is mailto:elsinorestuff@qwest.net The CR250 used a 13 or 14 tooth front the MT usually had a 15 but the both mount the same way.

Thanks Elsinorestuff,
I think I may have found my teeth locally ;) If it does not work out I will be in touch.
Newfie.
