Post subject:  197? CR125M Cylinder/Head Identification

Just bought a cylinder and head for my project and it came red in color, my bike is a 74 model 125 and I'm unsure of this red one. Anyone know where to look for the identification marks on this cyl/head (head has 2 plug holes) I just bought? I'm sure the other hole is for a compression release, I just cant find any info on it.

It fits my bottom end so I dont see any problems I just wanted to know.

2 plug holes likely an MT-125 head.
If cylinder has rubber dowels vertically through the fins for noise damping then likely MT-125 cylinder.
Black/dark brown is standard color but yours could have been painted by previous owner.
MT has milder porting than CR.
These are usable on 74 CR engine but be sure to plug the oil injection hole on the cylinder near the intake manifold or the engine sucks air and runs away.
MT cylinder on 74 CR bike with CR carb and pipe has surprising performance and wide powerband. Great for beginners.
