It finally runs! Ive been working on this MR175 for the last 2 years and after a lot of hard work, It runs like a champ. Im still having problems with the carburetion but i fixed it with an inline fuel shutoff valve and a modified starting technique. The transmission seal is bad and it is sucking a little transmission oil but nothing to worry about. I rode it and what a torquey little motor. I only weigh 130 lbs and if I whack the throttle open, the front end will come up about a foot and a half!
I drag raced my older cousin on his XR350 and I pulled away from him in 3rd gear! This bike is way faster than my XL185 but is WAY louder. I love this bike. The only problem I have with this bike is the infamous floppy kickstarter. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thank you to everyone that helped me on this website to assist me with the problems ive had with this bike, without your help, the bike wouldnt be running.
