do parts swap betwwen these models.ie engine parts and shocks.my cr250m has finaly arived from texas i bought it there in august 2004.it need total restoration as i found it in my freinds back yard its been outside fow years
these are the nos

Your MR250 would be a 1976 model. The MR250 was most like the 75-76 CR while the MT 250s were most like the 1973 CR.

Not many engine parts will exchange. I think the head if you are willing to take one stud hole left open. Piston if you swap rings too.

But flywheel, stator, cylinder and how it bolts to the case, etcetera, are all different.

I think you could bolt the whole triple tree/forks/wheel to the CR. Not positive but the swing arms look like they would interchange.

Very few things interchange, the engines are for the most part completely different. The shocks will work I believe, they have larger shafts than the 73/74. If you are doing a correct restoration you are pretty much out of luck all the way around. If you are just trying to get it running some stuff can be used, but it won't be much.
