I got a 80 Cr250 that I'm putting new swing arm bushings, pins, bearings and caps and the frame swing arm bolt hole on brake side is a little wallowed out. How do you guys repair that. My plan is to weld in a bead to fill in and dress down to original size, my buddy says drill out and put in bushing, I'm thinking bushings would create more problems. What kinda swing arm bolt play should be in the motor mount....little or none cause I got some, but looks nice and round. |

Your buddy is right, I fix them by opening the hole up, usually with a reamer and putting a bushing in, make sure it's nice and tight, then tig weld it in on the outer edges, basically just fuse the two together, no need to add rod, it makes a nice clean repair. |
