http://www.vintageiron.com. I believe Rick Doughty can set you up with a Mikuni flat slide for this bike. I have a 1983 CR480R and it has plenty of top-end, but the stock jetting for the 38mm Keihin was way off. I am also running a Pro-Form Racing pipe and silencer. There are plenty of guys racing SoCal historic motocross who can simply haul on this bike. I race the Elsinore GP and stick the 480 in with the modern bikes. It has plenty of power even compared to the new bikes, but getting it slowed down at the end of the fast bits can be a bit character-building. See you in November?
...you can also get the Moto Tassarin V-Force reed valve from a '87 CR250R to fit this bike.
