I see so many bikes on the forums with gold or black excel wheels. When I inquire with vendors I asm told that only silver is availabale for my bike ?? Are riders customizing other rims to fit? Any help is appreciated. Paul |

This is what I was told. Excel rims that are un-drilled and suitable for building up vintage wheels with drum brakes are only available in silver. However, before the rim is used it can be anodized or powdercoated a different color. |

I think Sun rims are available undrilled in gold or they may even have an application for Elsies. Maybe Buchanon Spoke is a distributor? |

just picked up last weekend a set of Black SMPro wheels for my 78 - laced with stainless spokes to my refurbished hubs. These are available in anyone of 12 colours!!!! Don't know about availability over your way but maybe you could check out the name? regards Rossco |
