Check out the baja designs dual sport kit. just google Baja Designs Dual Sport Kit and you should find their website. I believe on their website they have a State Motorcycle Equipment Requirement Sheet that lists by state what equipment is needed on you motorcycle to make it road-legal. To be honest, i believe that it is more trouble than it is worth because you would have to buy or make your own kit, worry about getting a title, and worry about it passing inspection and maybe emissions :( . I also understand that in some states they make it impossible to get a title for a bike that was not originally intended for the road :( .

On second thought, it would be cool if you could make it happen, and if you do, give us an update :)

i just checked and in washington i just need a horn that can be heard 200ft, head and taillights, side mirrors, and a muffler... that is way too easy... the only thing that is going to give me any trouble is the brake lights

You should be able to find a switch that hooks to your rear brake lever near its pivot and then just wire it up to your battery and rear brake light. You can find them on-line at many parts suppliers.
