I had this old bike sitting out behind my garage for several years and thought to go look at it today and see what it was since I didnt remember, that I see a D.G Perf Head on it I just might have something worth parting out. I'm curious about the VIN number on it, that doesnt look like any VIN on any other Honda's I have. Does anyone know what this is? Its a 1979 but I dont know if its a 250 or a 125? Thanks Guys, Great Site and Keep Up The Great Work.

Vin

It's a 79 CR125R. That head's probally worth more than the bike.

Ooops I spilled the beans.

Restore it!

Now thats funny, I'm currently restoring a 74 CR125M to show quality and dont need another project. I did find out thats a D.G pipe on it as well, thing had 1 bolt stripped on the head but I finally got it off today and dont see any scaring or pings in the dome. It looks really nice and after I get it cleaned up it goes to auction. BTW Frohrs check out my other post about the cylinder and head I'm trying to verify. I bought it as a CR125 part but its huge when compared to my original cyl/head. I posted a few pic's of it so as to help. My biggest curiosity is the little bird symbol on the head.

VintageRacer, I agree with the other post, maybe a MR or MT head?? It's not a 74-78 CR125 head that's for sure. The 76-78 CR125 heads were larger but didn't have the hole. Spark plug or compression release?

Looks like the other head in the pick is the correct head for the 74-75 CR125!

By the way it's not a 1980 CR125R head either, Way differen't!

Good luck with your project!
