I have a 1983 CR480 that I got with a mikuni on it. Problem is I couldn't keep the airboot from the box to stay on. I thought maybe the Mik was a "shorter" card. I put a Kehin on it off another 83 and it is shorter!!! I can't even get the clamp to stay on. So, could it have the wrong intake side ftiing? ( the one in front of the reeds). Can I get a Rad valve off of something that might work??? Any help would be great.

May be good idea to put a photo on here so the lads can see.

One suggestion is your rubber boots may be shrunk from age and sun exposure..

The Moto Tassarini V-Force II reed valve from a 1987 Honda CR250R drops right in...

Google "Mossberger" ....they sell a 10mm "Torq spacer" that fits between cylinder and reed block.

The idea of spacer is to create more bottom end power, but , in your application, the spacer could well regain the lost airboot length. :)

Looks like a spacer is my only option as both the intake boot and the airbox boot are not available. Thanks for the tip. I'll start on one tommorrow!!!!!!

I have a surplus, un-used 6 petal Mossbarger reed valve complete with torque spacer. Send me a message if you are interested.

Redrocket190 please contact me about the reed block. I have e-mailed you through this site, but it might not be working correctly.
